For those who have been reading my work here since the beginning, you surely have noticed a dropoff in frequency. I’ve not stopped writing; in fact I’ve been writing more than when I launched my website, even though it's not been daily. It’s simply because I have been working on various books! 

I have a poetry collection ready to send to an editor I chose, and some other fiction and nonfiction works. Just a few days ago the thought of a book that combines poetry and short stories has become prevalent…stay tuned, as I’m letting that idea percolate. 

Besides those book ideas, of which I will be self-publishing, I have many pieces I will publish here too. I decided to keep the posts of the site nonfiction and keep the poems here but add none to the site going forward. I feel that having a separation of what will be in books versus here will be good going forward, and the poems help shed light on how my life was before this website was created and launched. 

Some of you may have also noticed I've not published my annual tribute to my grandma in January to commemorate her death. Despite having written most of it, the pertinent places and directions that life took me beforehand are still ongoing and are not quite complete. I have felt really bad about not finishing it, yet I know it will be worth the wait, and she will understand in her customary accepting fashion. 

I am also looking to make the final breakaway from retail and go into copywriting, or anything that I can utilize my creativity and unique life experiences.

This means looking for an entry level job of sorts, as my resume only states my retail background. Freelancing is also on the table, but which one of these challenges happens first remains to be seen.
